During my morning routine of coffee, pet care, showering, etc… I’ve got some news channel feeding me the daily updates. Generally, GMA is the program of choice. Today they did not disappoint. There was a great segment on travel and how to save money. View it here.

Here were the take-aways:

1. Fly into larger airports, then drive to your destination, you’ll save but compare the savings first.

2. Rent your car at the larger airport, competition drives prices down.

hotelied.com (uses your social media to match you to a hotel)
stayful (less than 30 days out, best for independent establishments)
